THE BUILD 100
AMERICA’S STRONGEST AND MOST STRATEGIC GROWTH FIRMS
72 percent of all new jobs are created by 1 percent of U.S. companies. These are the powerhouses of our economy. And they have been overlooked too long.
That is where the Build 100 comes in. Through rigorous economic analysis, it identifies the elite firms whose track records of sustained growth statistically predict future success. It charts past performance to forecast business dominance — and studies the internal DNA fueling the ascent.
THE PREDICTIVE POWER OF GROWTH
BUILD 100 FIRMS ARE STATISTICALLY MORE LIKELY TO KEEP GROWING
31 years ago, the editors of Inc. magazine introduced the Inc. 500 — a ranking of the fastest growing U.S. companies. It quickly became a bellwether of the entrepreneurial economy and sparked research initiatives that have changed the way we all do business. Now, the minds behind the Inc. 500 are introducing The Build 100 — the next great business list.
The Build 100 is rooted in hard data. We have studied 22 million establishments to identify this elite subset of companies that have grown in each of the last five years. They have proven their ability to thrive in a shifting business landscape, and they have agreed to participate in a groundbreaking research initiative studying how, exactly, they do it.
Just as the Inc. 500 in now our nation’s most distinguished editorial award celebrating innovation, The Build 100 will become the hallmark of strategic management and business resilience.
